This wine is the felicitous result of a challenging experiment in the early 1980s: the introduction of a sauvignon blanc, a traditionally northern variety, into the Mediterranean climate of Apulia with the goal of producing a wine that would show significant varietal definition.
I Vitigni
Terre al Monte
Castel del Monte Sauvignon D.O.C.
GROWING AREA
Commune of Andria, in the "Castel del Monte" D.O.C. area.
GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Sauvignon Blanc.

A luminous straw yellow in appearance; complex aromas with good varietal hallmarks, fruit-forward and crisp; refreshing, rich, and fruity on the palate, well-balanced, with an appealing acidity.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Perfect with seafood antipasti, and with fish, poultry and veal dishes. Well chilled, it makes a lovely aperitif.
STORING
Terre al Monte's complexity and superb structure allow it to mature in the bottle for up to three years from harvest date.
